The Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) car rental center (RCC) has 12 car rental companies in a building next to Terminal 1.All free shuttle services stop on the lower level, outside each terminal, and transport passengers between the terminals, to the car rental center, and to the airport's affordable parking. The pick-up and return points for the courtesy shuttle service are located in the designated areas of the lower level, next to the sidewalk of all the terminals. Passengers arriving at Terminal 1 should follow the signs to the car rental center to the Esplanada B pedestrian bridge. The bridge is located near the security checkpoint on Explanada B.
Passengers arriving at terminals 2, 3 or 4 should follow the signs from the car rental center to the passenger pick-up area to enjoy the free bus service. The pick-up areas are located outside the baggage collection level, next to the sidewalk. Shuttle buses will take you to the RCC. Drive to the airport and follow the signs to the car rental center.
Each vehicle return lot is labeled with the car rental company it belongs to. Follow the car rental company's instructions and enter the garage. Stay within the individual yellow lines and make as much progress as you can. Returns are accepted 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Follow the signs to the designated return area for Enterprise, located on the second floor of the car rental center. Upon entering the car rental center from the bus, the doors open up to level 3, where travelers will find an ATM right inside the doors, as well as a directory of the 12 car rental companies operating inside the car rental center, in addition to contact information for the major car rental companies outside the airport. The 118 km long (73 miles) runway runs from Magnolia Park in the north to Miami Airport in the south, with 16 stations (including Fort Lauderdale Airport) in between. The Rental Car Center (RCC) offers travelers 12 car rental companies to choose from in a building next to Broward County Bus Terminal 1, which connects the airport to the north, in the Broward Central Terminal, in the center of Fort Lauderdale, with the Aventura Mall, in the south, between Hollywood and North Miami.
All car rental companies offer child seats, although not all have a similar range of options. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport is a smaller airport than the nearby Miami International Airport, although its car rental center is larger. Regardless of which floor you arrive at, there will be signs with detailed information on where to find each car rental counter, as well as information on flights, car rentals outside the airport, county buses, and nearby restrooms. In the Alamo garage pickup area, on level 2 of the Rental Vehicle Center, there is a row of economy vehicles in the front and a row of full-size passenger vans that can accommodate 15 people.
